New lens and a clean camera

The first pictures were taken with the new lens, but before I took the camera in to have the sensor cleaned. something that has to be done a mirrorless camera and I neglected to do for a number of years.

Not bad you say. You are correct, not bad, but if you enlarge the photo, you will see a lot of spots in the sky. I removed some of them, but the image isn’t as sharp as could be.

More of the same. I won’t get the most out of a lens if the sensor is dirty.

Closer up images are better, probably because the spots are hidden among the details. Also, notice how green things are this winter??

with lovely flowers blooming as well.

Then I looked online, found a camera repair place in Glendale and took the camera is for a much needed cleaning. When I picked it up I went over to the Brand Library and started taking pictures.

Maybe you can’t see it here on the blog, but to my eye, the picture looks sharper and no fuzzies or spots in the sky.

I deliberately just pointed at the sky – clear! Ah, why did I wait so long to clean the camera? Oh yes, because I bought it at the huge camera store Sammy’s and although they have quite the service dept. I didn’t feel like going back.

So instead I found a small business, owned by an immigrant Armenian and took my business there. He explained some important things about the camera – and he did a great job cleaning it!

At this point I am taking wider photos, the front of the Moorish Library

From the side, I can tell that the details are clearer. There must have been quite a layer of dust on the sensor.

The Drs. House. I had to carefully wedge the camera lens between two bars of the fence to get an unobstructed picture. Which is why there is only one angle. But look at all the wedding cake details on this Victorian. They give tour inside on Sundays – must go.

The gazebo in the yard, I’m pretty sure this is rented out for weddings. Once again, only one angle was available.

The Japanese tea house, yes, shooting through a chainlink fence.

The garden, ah what a little cropping will do, you can’t see the fence, it is there. Which is why, no looking at a photograph isn’t all the truth – it can be manipulated.

Everything can be manipulated, especially technology.

Next pictures are close ups, I have two macro lens, not so sure I really need them now….
