The magnolias are blooming!
So I got in close. These pictures were taken before I cleaned the sensor.
Great job, great detail. My sense is that this close, the dust on the sensor isn’t noticeable – or it simply becomes part of the fuzz in the background.
It is fun to see the different stages of the flower unfurling.
I’ll be honest, I could probably photograph a lot more of these. Looking closely at a photograph, I see things that I don’t with my naked eye.
This was probably at F-stop 1.8, about as small as you can get, which means the area that is being focused on is very small and everything else just gets that blurry boca. I can see the veins within the petal.
After the cleaning, a different plant. I can see how sharp the front leaf is and how it quickly dissolves in the background.
Here I am getting into composition, a dark diagonal running through a green background.
I no longer have a bottlebrush. So it’s fun to find it at the Brand. I love the fireworks, I also love how as the flower unfurls it is very tight, almost like a rose bud. Yes, more composition, of red against the grey and then the yellow green, where another flower is getting ready to bloom.
Someone left a pinecone on a pedestal. Love the details. So yes, I have two micro lens, I better still use them from time to time.
Next, the details of the actual library.
