More sights at the Brewery

I love arrested decay – even if it is still decaying. This is the back of the Edison power plant, and it looks like the company that used this space was originally established in 1894.

The textures of the sheet metal

, the rust. The wood grain on the plywood in the windows. Btw, that window frame looks solid! Someone could come in clean and renovate and it would function beautifully.

The door has seen better days. I wonder if they fabricated the bars in this location ?

This door is from a different building. Was it the door to a jail cell? Why so reinforced?

Today the interior of the whole building is a climbing wall gym. A lot of people were busy climbing. I was thrilled to find this small pottery business. Most of the artist are that – artists. this gal, Natt is a cancer research scientist by day and her hobbies are knitting, crocheting and pottery.

So of course, I bought a mug from her. The phrase is 100% true. notice the button on the handle.

My new morning coffee mug!

Outside again. I don’t know if this massive pipe was always here, or someone dropped it off here.

Maybe it stood there, as a planter for a large tree, then something happened, did the roots get in the way? either way, the tree is chopped down and the roots stick out from the bottom.

This 1956 Jaguar is incredible. another visitor was oohing and aahing. He has a 1955 Jaguar

, but his is on the blocks. No driving it anywhere, so he was all about this one.

I love classic cars, and the lines on this one are fabulous, hardly a straight line in sight.

Gorgeous!

I immediately noticed how the frame hugs the wheel house.

That license plate tells me that this is a road worthy car, interesting, it isn’t even one of those historic vehicles ones.

I think I got a picture from every angle. so beautiful. I wonder if I’ll ever see this out on the road.

I did take a few pictures of art, not much, maybe they’ll find a way into another post.
