Garden statuary

I really do need to get out walking more. Making all these crafts tends to keep me indoors.p1170477So I took my camera and went to a neighborhood not too far away. I noticed that many people have all kinds of statuary around, most of it is whimsical. This garden gnome is aged, decayed, yet still happy.

A gargoyle with a broken ear. He is on the front step, not on the roof, is that why he is scowling?

p1170475Now this is a cat that is easy to care for.

p1170460

Someone put a cow on top of a mailbox.
p1170459And an owl on top of a small lending library.p1170474This is one of the best little lending libraries I’ve seen. I didn’t check to see it all the books are related to Dr. Who.

p1170466A patriotic eagle is always in fashion.

p1170461Some decorations are seasonal, from Santa….

p1170447To a bountiful collection of ornaments.  I love all these decorations.

  1. Excellent photos! I love putting my broken pottery and vases in the backyard. Somehow, with a succulent in a broken pot, it doesn’t look broken anymore!
