Life is coming back to Los Angeles

I know, people like to think that CA is the worst place ever, no life whatsoever. I just spoke to a friend in Israel – it is much worse there. My friends are overly cautious, I am so glad not to be there.

Anyway, LA is going back to living. Even if people wear masks, too many are are wearing them outside.

So as I take my walk along Ventura Blvd, and look what pops into view. This is an office building, one that I always ignore. But one can’t ignore this.

This gift wrapping of a whole building is quite a project. I love it.

I have friends who love the Hallmark Christmas movies. My friend Kira has a podcast called A very Merry Christmas. I don’t watch the movies but I love listening to her and her friend Amelia talk about the movies. I know they love Hallmark. And I just love how Hallmark is spreading the love.

Then on Friday night we had a busy night with only one picture. We went to see and adorable musicale in a small theater. The actors weren’t masked. Then it was on to Republic of pie for dessert. We sat right next to the live band who were singing also – no masks.

On the way back to the car – we stopped into the new Amazon Fresh. I am trying to minimize my Amazon exposure – so I won’t be shopping there – but it is big, beautiful and very well stocked.

On Saturday I took a friend downtown, I hadn’t been downtown in two years, for a while there the vagrants had taken over everything, but even downtown is back. I spoke to plenty of people, some locals, some tourists telling them what to see. Here I am giving an explanation of the Bradbury Building – no one is allowed inside, so I gave them the history outside. I loved it so much, I will be going back to giving tours again . I saw a Conservancy docent – they go into three buildings, outside – no mask – inside mask – I can live with that.

I’ll have a short post on the Last Bookstore soon. We had lunch at Grand Central market – packed with people. Unfortunately my favorite chesse store is gone, but every location has a business and they all were very busy. No distancing here. People are happy, pleasant to one another and it just feels great.

Saturday evening we went to the city of San Fernando – yes

Buy Kamagra Without Prescription

, its its own city. in the summer they started a monthly street fair, booths, music and old cars. I love old cars.

These cars are better cared for than the new ones.

Even some gorgeous motorcycles.

Now that is civic pride!

Girls getting ready for a dance. This is really a small town, the local Dance and gymnastic studio were putting on performances. Some of adorable kids doing gymnastics and then these girls.

And then we had a wonderful Peruvian dinner – Loma Saltado! Life is very good. As I said, people aren’t locked down here in LA,

Leah
